What is Pay-Per-View and Video-On-Demand?

Pay-per-View

Pay Per View is a convenient way to watch your favourite movies in the comfort of your own home. You will need a digital receiver available from your TV service provider (your cable or satellite company) and once this is set-up, just follow the simple steps to access a long list of movies starting at different times.  Pay Per View means you only pay for what you order… no interruptions, no commercials, no rewinding, no late fees or returns, no problem!  The movies ordered are conveniently charged to your cable or satellite bill…

Sit back, relax and scroll through the Pay Per View channels on your on-screen guide to select the movie that you want to watch and make your purchase by following the simple steps through your remote control. As a subscriber of PPV movies available 24/7, you will need an addressable converter / set-top box and a receiver from your cable or satellite provider.

Consult your service provider for equipment required and service terms.

Video-On-Demand (VOD)

Video-On-Demand is the technology that enables you to choose your favourite movies from a menu on your television, allowing you to order them at the exact moment you want to watch them.  As you would do with a VCR or DVD player, it is possible to fast-forward, rewind or pause your Video-On-Demand (VOD) movie and best of all, you are able to watch it right then or wait a full 24 hours, whichever is more convenient for you.

As a VOD subscriber, you will need to upgrade to digital cable. You can check with your local cable provider for availability.
