Everything Is Fine
Claude Legault, Normand D’amour, Pierre-Luc BrillantJosh is a normal adolescent living in an industrial suburb, close to the high school, mine and skate park. One morning, he finds his friend Thomas dead. It quickly becomes obvious that three other boys have done the same thing, eliminating him from the pact. As the survivor, Josh isolates himself. Only Mia, the ex-girlfriend of one of the boys who committed suicide, and Thomas’s father are able to reach him. Some questions are answered, some not. Josh’s story is not a moral tale, nor is it a desperate social critique; rather, it is the story of a survivor. It is the portrait of a group of intense young people who are fragile yet invincible, lucid yet innocent, morbid yet idealistic. A humble look at their incredible darkness but also at their blinding light.
